- You’ll need to arrive well in advance of the actual sunset time… You can get amazing pictures up to an hour before the sun actually sets.
- Make the most of the “golden hour.
- There are some great Apps like ‘LightTrac’ which can help you keep track of sunsets. Use the right apps when shooting sunsets with a mobile device.
- Be patient, the reward will be huge.
- Use the rule of thirds.
- Figure out the right camera mode.
- Use a tripod or monopod to stabilize your photos.
- Keep white balance in mind. Consider shooting in RAW over JPEG mode if possible.
- Consider using HDR and other image editing techniques if you’re going for a more artistic feel.
- Little comfort is always good idea. Maybe warm coat, holding chair and some drinks you like.
