Itinerary

    01

    Day 1: Journey to Ogii Lake

    Depart from Ulaanbaatar in the morning 08.30-09.00am and drive toward Ogii Lake, a beautiful frozen lake in Arkhangai Province. On the way, stop to visit the ruins of Khairkhan Bukh Fortress and enjoy the peaceful scenery.
    Visit Ugii lake after transfer to Kharkhorin town for an overnight stay in guesthouse with shower and electric.

    Day 2: Explore Kharkhorin old town.

    In the morning, explore Kharkhorin (Karakorum) – the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire – and visit Erdene Zuu Monastery, one of Mongolia’s oldest Buddhist sites. After the tour overnight stay same guesthouse with shower and electric.

    Day 3: Visit Orkhon volcanic valley and waterfall riding horse

    After breakfast 3 hour drive to Orkhon waterfall. Visit Orkhon waterfall and riding horse in the vally. Lunch somewhere outdoor or indoor. After the tour drive to Semi-Gobi Khugnu tarna mountain overnight with nomad family.

    Day 4: Elsen Tasarkhai Sand Dunes and Camel Riding

    After breakfast continue to the Elsen Tasarkhai sand dunes, a unique area where desert, steppe, and mountain landscapes meet. Enjoy a camel riding experience and back drive to ub city.
